 Maternity Services at Iowa Health - Des Moines "Knocked Our Socks Off" with a busy three months in July, August and September with 1,168 deliveries. In one 48 hour period in August, Iowa Methodist Medical Center delivered 42 babies! 

 Maternity Services wanted to do something special to show their appreciation to the Des Moines community for allowing Iowa Health - Des Moines to play a role in such an important part of these families lives. The Maternity Services Employee Advisory Board worked with Children and Families of Urban Ministries (CFUM) in Des Moines to identify a need in the community - socks!! For the month of November, Maternity Services collected socks for persons of all ages to help warm the toes of others who may be less fortunate.  

536 pairs of socks were collected and have been donated to CFUM. Thank you to everyone that donated and for helping us give back this holiday season!
