There are many things you wait for.
Cancer shouldn't be one of them.
One-third of all cancers are preventable and for those that aren't, early detection is key. John Stoddard Cancer Center encourages you to take the first step by completing our free, online cancer risk assessments.
This new program, called CancerAware, is a confidential, interactive online tool that can help you learn more about how to lower your cancer risk. John Stoddard Cancer Center offers four cancer assessments - breast, lung, colon and prostate - that visitors can select to take. The assessments, which take only a few minutes to complete, include questions focusing on risk factors, such as family history, physical activity, tobacco use and cancer screenings, to evaluate whether your lifestyle or symptoms could put you at risk for cancer. Those identified at high-risk will have the opportunity to talk with a Stoddard Care Coordinator about how to lower their risk.
