Awards and Recognition

We've received attention for the steps we've taken to make our hospitals more green. Here are a few examples of our awarding-winning work:

• In 2010, Stryker Sustainability Solutions awarded Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Iowa Methodist Medical Center the Silver Healthy Hospital Award. This award recognizes outstanding partnership and performance. Iowa Lutheran is the facility with the most steady savings throughout the years, which shows their continued drive and partnership for performance. Iowa Methodist, having also received the Silver Award in 2009, had another growth year and reached the $1 million mark in 2010. Since implementing the Advantage OR collection system in 2007, they have saved over $1 million.
