Recovery is a process of personal change that emphasizes and supports a person's ability to get better. It is a personal journey that involves developing hope and a secure sense of self. It involves finding supportive relationships, empowerment and belonging. It includes learning coping skills, and finding meaning in life again.
At Powell Chemical Dependency Center we work hard to lead people to Recovery and to give them all of the tools they need to stay there. Whether a person's problem with drugs or alcohol is complicated by individual, family or other issues, Recovery begins here by discontinuing substance abuse and getting connected with others. Powell CDC patients are empowered by experiencing success in treatment assignments, becoming part of the Powell CDC community, and learning skills for how to deal with stress or other mental health concerns.
