Infectious Disease
Infectious Disease physicians treat infections that are difficult to diagnose, those that don't respond to treatment, or infections occurring in people with a weak immune system. They also treat infections that require prolonged treatment, such as bone and joint infections, as well as chronic infections such as hepatitis or HIV. Their specialized training includes treatment of infections in returning travelers, as well as consultations and vaccinations for prospective travelers.

UnityPoint Clinic specialists provide neurology services unique in the Central Iowa area.
We are a National Multiple Sclerosis Society Center for comprehensive MS care.
We established the Parkinson's disease Information and Referral Center.
Our neurologists serve as the medical director of the Iowa Methodist Medical Center/Iowa Lutheran Hospital Accredited Stroke Center, the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and the neuro-diagnostic lab.
We provide medical direction for central Iowa's interdisciplinary Muscular Dystrophy Association clinic at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
We have a total of seven fellowship-trained neurologists on staff with expertise in a wide range of neurologic diseases and treatments.
