Iowa Health - Des Moines provides patient care to a growing number of uninsured and underinsured patients. Individuals today carry a greater burden of their health care services' costs through growing out-of-pocket deductibles that many health insurance plans including Medicare have implemented. Any may Iowa Health patients simply lack the financial resources to secure health insurance at all. Accordingly, Iowa Health along with our parent company, Iowa Health System, has developed financial policies to seek fair payment from patients who cannot reasonably pay for part or all of the care they receive.
