For Lacey, her second pregnancy was much different than her first.  Physical pain and bleeding at 22 weeks led to a scary experience that she wasn't prepared to take on.  Her initial physician predicted a miscarriage and refused to help her - but Lacey wasn't giving up on her baby.  She asked friends and neighbors about who they delivered with, and found the care she was looking for with the physicians, providers and staff at Lakeview OB/GYN and Methodist West.

Lakeview OB/GYN accepted her as a patient right away and Kristen Little, ARNP was the first to see her.  She was appalled at how Lacey was treated and told her she would take care of Lacey and her unborn child like they were a part of her own family. Lacey spent two hours in the office that day doing testing and ultrasounds as a thorough investigation of what might be wrong.  They determined she had a high-risk problem and suggested that she see Dr. Karen Drake with Perinatal Services twice a month and the physicians and providers and Lakeview in between those visits.

Overall, the physicians and providers at Lakeview OB/GYN found the problem and helped to fix it.  Lacey was put on modified bed rest for the remaining weeks of her pregnancy and chose to deliver her baby at Methodist West.  Dr. Michael Mintzer was the physician who delivered Lacey's baby and she could not have asked for more out of a physician that day.  Today Lacey, Chet and big brother Max now have healthy, happy baby girl Sawyer as an addition to their family.
