Eric Crowell President and CEO Mr. Crowell joined Iowa Health System in 1999 as Senior Vice President. In 2001, he was named President and CEO of Iowa Health - Des Moines. Before coming to Iowa, he served as President and CEO at Trinity Regional Health System in Moline, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and his Master's in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota. Mr. Crowell serves on several boards in Central Iowa, including the Board of Greater Des Moines Partnership, Des Moines University, Civic Center of Greater Des Moines and a Trustee for Grand View University in Des Moines. |

David Burlage Vice President of Legal Mr. Burlage has served as Associate Counsel for Iowa Health System since 1999. Prior to coming to Iowa, Mr. Burlage lived in Colorado where he represented various hospitals and licensed healthcare professionals, and also worked in the Attorney General's Office. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law. Mr. Burlage is a member of The American Health Lawyers Association and Iowa Bar Association. |

Joe Corfits Chief Financial Officer Mr. Corfits joined Iowa Methodist Medical Center in 1978 as a staff accountant. Mr. Corfits held several different positions within the Finance Department before being named Senior Vice President of Finance/Chief Financial Officer of Iowa Health - Des Moines in 1996. Before coming to Iowa Health - Des Moines Mr. Corfits served as Corporate Tax Auditor at the Iowa Department of Revenue. Mr. Corfits received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota and his MBA from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He has served on the National Board of Directors for HFMA (Healthcare Financial Management Association). He currently is on the Board of The Downtown Community Alliance and a number of joint venture boards for Iowa Health. |

Douglas Dorner, M.D. Senior Vice President Medical Education and Research Dr. Dorner practiced as a vascular surgeon in Des Moines for 31 years. Since 1994, he has served as Senior Vice President for Medical Education and Research and Director of Medical Education at Iowa Health - Des Moines. From 2000 to 2007, he also served as Program Director of the Surgery Residency at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. He graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, and received his Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Dorner is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, a member of many surgical and medical education organizations, and is a past president of the Midwest Surgical Association. Dr. Dorner currently serves on the Governor's Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Advisory Council. In 2008, he was honored by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education with their "Courage to Lead Award" as a national leader in residency education. |

Dennis W. Linderbaum President Iowa Health Foundation Mr. Linderbaum has been president of the Iowa Health Foundation since 2001. Prior to his joining the Foundation, he served for 14 years as president of the Iowa College Foundation, an organization that raises funds for Iowa's independent colleges and universities. Mr. Linderbaum currently serves on the Rotary Club of DMAM Foundation Board, is a past president of the Rotary Club of DMAM and is also a longtime member of the Interchange Business Club. He received his Bachelor of Arts in political science and history from Luther College, and his Master of Arts in political science from Iowa State University. |

Eric L. Lothe, FACHE Vice President of Operations - Iowa Health - Des Moines / Chief Administrative Officer : Iowa Lutheran Hospital Mr. Lothe currently serves as Vice President of Operations for Iowa Health - Des Moines and Chief Administrative Officer at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Previously, he served as President of Health Enterprises of Iowa in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mr. Lothe has also served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Skiff Medical Center in Newton, Iowa and Community Memorial Hospital in northern Iowa. Mr. Lothe received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern Iowa and his Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on various boards including the Central Iowa Workfoce Investment Board, Vice President of the East Des Moines Chamber Board, West Lakes Sleep Center Board, and Iowa Radiology Board. |

Joyce McDanel
Vice President Human Resources
Ms. McDanel has been involved in healthcare leadership for more than 20 years. Her experience as an administrator and a COO in other healthcare organizations has prepared her well for her new role as an executive with Iowa Health - Des Moines. In 2005, Ms. McDanel joined Iowa Health - Des Moines as the Executive Director of Integrated Services. More recently, she served as the interim Executive Director for John Stoddard Cancer Center. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business from Washburn University located in Topeka, Kansas, has her MBA from the University of Iowa and is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Ms. McDanel is an active member of the local and national Human Resource Professional organizations, Society of Human Resource Management and serves on the board for the United Service Credit Union and also serves as an active member of the CIW Careers in Health Care committee as part of the Central Iowa Works initiative. In those roles, she demonstrated her ability to work with all areas of the organization to accomplish established goals, lead successful change and focus on the development of staff. |

Deb Moyer,
Chief Nursing Executive/Vice President, Nursing Services Ms. Moyer joined Iowa Health in 2010 as Chief Nursing Executive/Vice President, Nursing Services. Ms. Moyer brings a diverse background in healthcare and leadership. She began her career with Iowa Methodist as a staff nurse, moved into management and then to the role of executive director of surgical services. Ms. Moyer has a bachelor's in nursing from University of Iowa and a master's in public administration (healthcare focus) from Drake University. She completed a National Patient Safety Fellowship sponsored by Health Research and Educational Trust and the American Hospital Association. |

Mark Purtle, M.D. Vice President Medical Affairs Dr. Purtle joined Iowa Health System in 1986 as a physician and was named Vice President of Medical Affairs for Iowa Health - Des Moines in 2001. He graduated with a bachelor of science in chemistry from Creighton University and received his Medical Degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. After graduation Dr. Purtle moved to Rochester, New York where he was a resident at Strong Memorial Hospital. He currently serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, is a member of American College of Physicians Executives, American Medical Association, Fellow in American College of Physicians and Iowa Medical Society. |

Sid Ramsey Vice President Marketing/Business Development
Sid Ramsey has served as the senior marketing and planning officer with Iowa Health - Des Moines since 2000. Additionally, he has administrative responsibilities for occupational medicine, corporate wellness and the rural hospital network. Prior to this role, Mr. Ramsey held a number of management positions in the health system including executive director positions in business development and rehabilitation. Mr. Ramsey has a Master's Degree from the University of Iowa and Master in Business Administration from Iowa State University. He is active in community non-profit organizations and is on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross, the Science Center of Iowa, the Iowa Prescription Drug Corporation, the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. |

Jean Shelton, FACHE Regional Vice President/Iowa Health Physicians & Clinics - Central Iowa Jean Shelton currently serves as the Regional Vice President for Iowa Health Physicians & Clinics in Central Iowa. Previously, she served as Administrator for Partners in Health, Director of Transplantation, Director of Women's Services and Director of Adult Behavioral Health. Jean received her Bachelor of Science from Upper Iowa University and her Master of Business Administration from Drake University. She is a Certified Medical Practice Executive and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on various boards and participated in several community organizations including Iowa Specialty Physicians, Iowa Donor Network, Hy-Vee - Iowa Health Express Care, Polk County Medical Society and Red Cross Disaster Team. |

Steve Stephenson, M.D. Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President Dr. Stephenson is the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Methodist West . Previously, Dr. Stephenson was Executive Vice President and Medical Director at Blank Children's Hospital. He also was Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Children's Hospital in Central California. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley and later received his Medical Degree from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Stephenson is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of JDRF Board of Directors, and is on the Iowa Poison Control Center Board. Also Dr. Stephenson is on the Board and Executive Committee of United Way of Central Iowa and chair of the Health Cabinet. In 2005, Dr. Stephenson was awarded the Pediatrics Teacher of the Year for Blank Children's Hospital. |

David Stark, FACHE President/Chief Operating Officer of Blank Children's Hospital
Executive Vice President of Iowa Health - Des Moines Joining Iowa Health - Des Moines in 1996, Mr. Stark is an Iowa native. He currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Blank Children's Hospital and Executive Vice President for Iowa Health - Des Moines. He received his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in Management and his master's in Healthcare Administration from the University of Iowa. Mr. Stark is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, serves on the YMCA Board, Blank Park Zoo Board, ISU Council on Management/Marketing, a member of Rotary, is on the executive committee of the Iowa Association of Healthcare Leaders, and is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.
