LifeFlight Air Ambulance Des Moines IowaLife Flight-Air Ambulance Services

Since 1979 Life Flight has been providing quality, rapid air transport for critically-ill and injured patients. The ability to stabilize and transport patients as quickly as possible is critical, which is why Life Flight and its crew can be instrumental during life-threatening situations. In addition to providing transport from an emergency scene, Life Flight also transports between hospitals if a patient is in need of specialized medical or surgical treamtent.

Life Flight was the first air ambulance service in Central Iowa and since that time has continued to grow and specialize in order to provide the most experienced and specialized care available for our community.

EMS:  More Than a Job.  A Calling.
EMS Week Activities - May 20-26, 2012

EMS Week was developed to bring together local communities and medical personnel to publicize safety and to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line."

Because our EMS colleagues are out meeting the needs of the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, Iowa Health - Des Moines is celebrating EMS week 2012 with activities on all three hospital campuses throughout the week. With activities planned from morning to evening, it's our hope to visit with as many of you as possible, to express how much we truly value your dedication and commitment to your calling!
