Message from the Director

Welcome to the PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency Site. Our program is an Internal Medicine focused residency that provides experiences in a variety of areas including Pediatrics, Oncology, Intensive Care, Surgery/Trauma, Infectious Disease, Ambulatory Care and Management. The residency program is a collaboration between UnityPoint Health - Des Moines and Drake University and offers extensive opportunities to teach and earn a teaching certificate. Our preceptors include Drake University Faculty who practice on-site and pharmacists who are specialists in their respective areas with all being very dedicated to residency training.
