Some are small, some are pretty, some are large and to be honest, many days, mine is not too far from a trash can! I'm talking about purses!
I do love big purses, but I downsized about a year ago in hopes to better manage the contents inside my little black purse! After a recent cleaning, I'm sad to report it seems a smaller purse can still hold an endless amount of items! Some days, I am absolutely amazed at the things I discover that I stashed away and completely forgot about! Sometimes, I'm annoyed when I can't seem to find a single pair of sunglasses - only to discover three days later, I had about three pairs buried in my purse, but a little shocked that I didn't notice they were there in the first place as they are not tiny!
There was a day when you would likely find things like lipstick, lip gloss, jewelry and a pair of flip flops buried in my purse. During a recent cleaning, I stumbled upon a few little girl headbands and a bow, which made me realize my purse is just another one of those things that changes when you are a
parent. However, I love stumbling upon a sweet little bow, it makes me smile each time I see one of Olivia's headbands in my purse. And of course, many trains, cars, dinosaurs, stickers, beautiful drawings - you name it, it's been transported in my purse. I won't even get into perishables. And I rarely leave the house without wet wipes, as sticky fingers are unavoidable these days.
While out to dinner with a few girlfriends, I was happy to find I too was not the only one plagued by a purse packed FULL of surprises. My girlfriend pulled out three bottles of nail polish, a complete manicure kit, a few koozies and a pair of back-up undies for her two-year-old.
Perhaps a 2013 goal for me will be a bit more organization and the purchase of a mini file to store my coupons that I can never seem to find until they are expired. I just threw away two expired diaper coupons!
