Chapel Service in Your Room

If you are unable to attend the chapel service, the service is made available on your hospital television on channel 15.

Spiritual Accommodations

Patient care includes the spiritual as well as physical and emotional needs of each patient. The pastoral service staff have special training for hospital ministry, and are available to assist you and your family, regardless of your religion. Your priest, minister or rabbi is always welcome to visit you.

Chapel

At Iowa Lutheran Hospital, the Fridolf A. Hanson Memorial Chapel is located on the first floor near the gift shop. It is always open to visitors of all faiths for prayer and meditation. Everyone is invited to attend workshop services in the chapel each Sunday from 10 to 10:30 a.m., or view the service from a hospital television on channel 15.

Chaplains

Chaplains are available at both hospitals to patients and families for supportive visits and pastoral care. To request a visit, notify the nursing staff or contact the hospital operator by calling the main telephone number (515) 263-5612.
